This book is a must read for art lovers. Did you know you could take a simple camera obscrua on a nice sunny day, dud up a friend, and voila! You have a masterpiece that rivals Van Eyck, or Holbein, or Da Vinci! Just trace a few simple lines, fill in with color and there it is. And still life is even easier, as long as the fruit doesn''t rot. Secret knowledge, indeed. Who knew that they did it this way? And all those years I spent in awe. Otherwise this is an engaging read.
