I would say The Whispers in the Walls is almost better than The Lost Twin, and more terrifying! I personally enjoyed it but this book might be frightening to younger children: Mr. Bartholomew, the headmaster, is a crazy old man who has a disturbing fetish for cruel and unusual punishment.
There's a crazy plot twist at the end involving the Grey twins' mother. I can't wait for the third book!
