This volume covers advancements and history makers of the industry through 1980, presenting such key entries as Preston Tucker, Highway Safety Act of 1966, John Z. DeLorean, imports, pollution, the Chrysler Corporation, Lee Iacocca. Major biographical entries run about 10,000 words, standard entries 3,500-5,000 words.
