I was skeptical loaning this one; but the World War films are pretty supportive of the young soldiers w/ compassion of the Lone wolf. Ends up the one that refused to draw arms is the one that literally ' hall the ass of those that look down on him as a coward'. Real life characters w/documentary footage at the end. This was on the Okinawan Island in Japan...the residence are supposely not Japanese but the island was taken over to fight against the White American soldiers. It is a burrow of tunnels...heard they still exist. But Now Okinawa is not popular about the past war but the Long life of the Okinawan diet. You think with all the left over war debri ...toxic to the land they live on? This is a Mel gibson production....never thought much of the actor...but this film brings a bit more in respecting his work. The underDog is worth viewing to those unarmed medical heros.
