Love Your Pet Day With Poetry

Friday, February 20th is National Love Your Pet Day! Whether they're furry, fluffy, feathery, fishy, or festooned with scales, there's a lot to love about what your pet brings to your life. This is a day to focus on your pet(s) and give them a little extra back. Perhaps that could be with a gentle grooming session, or a special treat, or even reading some poetry with them. (Or beside them, haha, as the case may be, for our less sound-oriented or cuddly critters.) Just taking a moment to be in the moment with your pet is a gift. The list below features several books of poetry in our Juvenile collection, and ends with a few selections for older readers that focus on the highs and lows of pets and animal companions. #NationalLoveYourPetDay #IndyPLKids #AllCreaturesGreatAndSmall #Poetry #PetPoetry Original Publish Date: January 21st, 2026
